Learn English and Gain Professional Experience in America

This 12-week Focused Package includes the General English 18 course. Eligible students selected by one of our Host Companies, get the opportunity to experience working at an American company.

Our Host Companies operate in many sectors including Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, Retail, Fashion, Finance, and Technology.

This activity is designed for students to:

  • Experience the American corporate culture
  • Gain insights into business management
  • Develop skills to improve career opportunities
  • Learn to create an American-style CV and cover letter

Key points

  • Available only in Boston and San Francisco
  • English Level 5 or higher required
  • The Company Experience starts on Mondays (Tuesdays when it’s a public holiday)
  • Weeks 1 - 4: Mon - Thu, 22 lessons/week (English course - 18 lessons/week, Company Experience Prep - 4 lessons/week)
  • Weeks 5 - 12: Mon - Fri, 28 – 33 hours/week (English course - 18 lessons/week, Host Company - 10 to 15 hours/week)
  • Use of interactive technology makes the English classes more dynamic
  • The curriculum of the English course is structured in weekly modules with specific learning objectives
  • English assessment testing takes place toward the middle and at the end of the course

This course is designed for students to develop a general knowledge of literature, art, music, and the performing arts. The course covers periods from classical to contemporary in the fields of poetry, prose, philosophy, art, architecture, music, dance, theater, and film. Students will develop a framework to comprehend, analyze and interpret various works of art.
